The short version

1. Who we are

LearnTamil with Yazh is run by Yazh Kalaiyagam, a Tamil folk-arts academy in the United Arab Emirates ([registered business name and address]). Contact us about privacy at admin@yazhkalaiyagam.com.

2. What we collect, and why

3. Who else handles data

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google. Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE.

4. Cookies and device storage

5. How long we keep it

Account and learner data are kept until you delete your account. Password-reset links expire after one hour. When you delete your account we remove your account, learners’ progress and bookings from our database. Payment records are kept for accounting without your personal details attached. Progress already saved on your own device stays there until you clear it.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the EU or UK GDPR, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have further rights, including to complain to your local regulator. Write to us and we will help.

7. Keeping data safe

The site uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sign-in cookies are protected from scripts, and repeated failed sign-ins are slowed down. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep the Parent Desk PIN private — the PIN is a child-lock on the device, not account security.

8. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell signed-in parents by email or in the app before it takes effect.
